Meet Our Team

The head dentist at Dr. Dave’s Healthy Smiles, Dr. David Hippensteel, has been practicing dentistry for over 30 years and is one of the most respected dentists in the area. After completing his dental education at Temple University’s School of Dentistry, Dr. Dave furthered his training and earned his Fellowship from the Academy of General Dentistry. He is committed to creating a positive and welcoming environment so that patients look forward to their dental visits.

When Dr. Dave is not treating patients, he is training for the CrossFit games. He took first place in the 2016, 2017 and 2018 CrossFit games and has ranked in the Masters Top 10 for the past four years. The rest of the office enjoys cheering him on!

Dr. Dave is joined at the Dickson office by Dr. Caleb King, a graduate of Southern Illinois University’s School of Dental Medicine. In addition to serving patients at our practice, Dr. King is very passionate about providing dental care to the underserved through volunteer work at Nashville’s Interfaith Dental Clinic and trips to Jamaica.
